Why is Saturday not the Sabbath?

Saturday IS the Sabbath! That video was a load of unhinged drivel.

Look, it’s very simple– Jews could not care less about all this waffle about “Saturn” or whatever, in Hebrew, we don’t call it “Saturday”, we call it “shabbat” (Sabbath).

You see, the days of the week in Hebrew are literally translstable as “first day” (Sunday) “Second day” (Monday) “Third day” (Tuesday) all the way up to “sixth day” (Friday) but then it’s not “Seventh day” but “shabbat”.

What a bunch of Romans, Greeks, Vikings or whatever called the days of the week means exactly as much to us as what the Ancient Aztecs called their messiah means to Christianity. Our week is a simple count and the 7th day is the Sabbath. End of story.

What do you think?
